RapidWeaver Elements 3.1.3 (24707)

I’m beginning to really hate Elements and miss RapidWeaver. Every time I add an image, I have to constantly play with it in various image editors (Apple Preview, Pixelmator, etc.) to try and find a format that won’t cause Elements to crash when publishing to their hosting platform. This is getting frustrating and annoying.

Is anyone else seeing problems like this? I haven’t seen anything in the forums. I’m running macOS 27.2 on a 2022 Mac Studio M1 Ultra with 128GB RAM and a 4TB SSD with less than 1TB used.

Never had a problem with images and I use many. Elements has never crashed for me. But I’m on macOS 27.1 .

Hey @D.Stempnakowski,

Sorry to hear you’re having such a frustrating time with Elements. That’s certainly not the experience we want you to have.

You shouldn’t need to edit or convert images in other apps just to get Elements to publish successfully. Something is clearly going wrong here, and we’d really like to get to the bottom of it.

Could you let us know what image formats are causing the crashes (JPEG, PNG, WebP, etc.)? Also, does Elements crash during the publishing process, or while preparing the site for publishing?

If you have an image that consistently causes the crash, it would be really helpful if you could send it to us so we can reproduce the issue.

We take crashes seriously, and we’d much rather fix the underlying problem than have you work around it.

Thanks for bearing with us while we investigate.
