I’m trying to improve the speed on a site I just published. It’s showing a pretty large Elements reder delay. This gets above my head a little so I’m not sure if there’s anything I can do about this. Looking for some direction. I had a look and it loads very fast for me. Not timed it but seems slightly over 1 second. Doesn’t feel slow but I am on 1Gbps ---

I tried it as well, and the load time was close to instant, but I am also on 1 GBS. All I know is it was very fast. ---

I’m strictly going off my Lighthouse score on mobile. I’m around 60 right now and I’m trying to improve it. ---

Aah, you neglected to tell us that the slow performance was on MOBILE, where it is indeed 60, whereas your desktop performance is 99—a big difference. I noticed one large image at +400 KB, which would be worth reducing. Plus, there also appeared to be a large WOFF2 file at +300 KB. Those big files will hurt your performance on mobile. ---

I wouldn’t worry too much about the page speed itself. While that might be more or less important, I’d rather focus on your accessibility issues. Those will affect any visitor with e.g. visual impairments or disabilities much more than a page speed core of 78. If the page still loads within a second, I don’t see an issue there. That said, I still do wonder, why elements seems to export and call so many js libraries, even if they are not used on the page (@ben @dan?). That’s one major issue I was complaining about very early, that slows down your page much more than a 400kb image (which still is too much and should be reduced though).
