# Enable Cruftless Links Not Working

Admittedly using an older version of RW, but this feature has never worked: Enable Cruftless Links. I’ve always had that checked, yet pages don’t work unless the cruft is there. Could it be something on the hosting end (inmotion?)

Are you being sure to use ‘index.html’ or ‘index.php’ for your page names?

What is your URL? I have a few sites with in motion and they all work well with cruftless/tidy links

Example: [http://lilc.org/volunteer.html](http://lilc.org/volunteer.html) Yes, the page is named volunteer.html in RW

That is not using cruftless links. The folder should be named volunteer and the filename should be index.html, then your URL would be  
[http://lilc.org/volunteer](http://lilc.org/volunteer)
