Hello everyone,

I did a website for one of my best friends who owns a martial arts school ([http://newenglandma.com/](http://newenglandma.com/)) (I myself train there too). The other day he wanted to announce that do to the coronavirus, he is going to do some classes via facebook live stream. I have put a notification on the home page with a facebook icon. How do I create a link where if someone clicks on the Facebook icon, that if they are on heir mobile phone or tablet, that if they have the facebook app it will open up the app rather than a new webpage?

Thanks and be safe,

Steve

In that situation, if they have the app installed don’t you automatically get a prompt which says something like: “Open in Facebook app instead?”

I clicked on it from mine and my wife’s iPhone and it opens up another browser window. It doesn’t give us the option to open it up from the app.
