Subject: Removing the word “container” from photos on fleXon
Hi everyone, and @WeaverPixel
I’m working on the website and have a question about the photos. The word “container” is appearing across some of the images, and I need to figure out how to remove it.
I’ve included two examples below. Does anyone know why this is happening and what the steps are to fix it?
Thanks for your help!
Hi @RobertTrebor ,
This is a normal behaviour of Elements. The pictures are included as the background of the container and as long as the container is empty it shows always this gray box with the word „container“ as a placeholder. But this is only visible in Elements, as soon as you show it in the browser it disapears.
When I recall correct Realmac wants to change this behaviour in a future release but currently it is intentional.
Hope this helps!
You’re seeing some grey boxes appearing over your images as those are drop zones, which are part of the editing interface in Elements. They’re there to visually show you where you can drag and drop components while building your page.
Don’t worry though, as these won’t appear on your published site. If you preview the page in a browser, you’ll see the final result without those drop zones.
Elements needs some way to show editable areas while you’re designing, and this is how that’s currently handled.
Hope that helps ![]()
Great job!
Your hard work really stands out, and I appreciate it! Keep it up! ![]()

@ben Thanks for the clarification, Ben.
I understand that the grey boxes are part of the editing interface and won’t appear on the live site.
I’ve also noticed an inconsistency within fleXon, where the word “container” appears over some of the photos but not all of them, and I find that strange.
Shouldn’t it be more consistent if it’s a Realmac related issue?
Thanks again!
Hi @RobertTrebor
That is how I create the sections in Elements. Sometimes it make sense to use a container background (then you see the conatiner gray field). Sometimes it is simply not possible or it makes no sense to use a container background, then I am using an image component and then you do not see it.
Hope that make sense.
