# Galleries slow to load

I’ve just uploaded my Elements site, replacing my Classic site. Everything works beautifully. But I have many photo galleries and they are slow to load even though I am on a fibre optic network. The image files are not large, as well as images on pages. Is there a way to lazy load images? This was accomplished with a stack in Classic.

People nowadays are impatient. Waiting for something to load without knowing why because it seems the screen is frozen, discourages people to get onto the site.
