Yes, just purchase the Stacks Plugin from Yourhead.
Install the Stacks Plugin
Add a Stacks Page to your site (+) button
Drag a 2 column stack on the page from the Stacks Library
Drag an Image stack in one column and a text stack in the other - (add content to each stack)
Repeat until you have the look you want
Note: if you get to an area you want only one column, drag a one column stack on and add stacks & content to it.
Then you can drag another 2 column below that and continue on. I guess what I am trying to say is the whole page doesn’t need to be 2 columns. You just keep dragging the layout stacks you need for that section on and put the content type stacks inside the layout stack.
Not confusing at all Scott … very clear instructions thanks. It sounds exactly what I need - I especially like the fact that I can jump between one and two columns so it’s not all too samey. Can’t wait to download it and get started … I’m excited and nervous in equal degrees!!
To @swilliam and @zeebe I just wanted to say I have just purchased Stacks 3 and after playing around with it for the last half hour I am absolutely loving it!!! It’s definitely going to work for me so thanks again for all your help.
I’m far from an expert, but now that you have stacks, what you want is real easy.
On this page I just used left and right floating images in each little stack. Lets you drop and drag the pictures, and the text I usually copy and command-c-v to paste unformulated from Word or my old site when I redid mine to responsive. Here is an example http://www.widman.biz/boletines/157.html
But I also like to use the adaptive grid stack, memorizing certain settings as drop in stacks. This allows me to resize, drop two pictures or three if I want, (or more), and set the widths for iphone or notebooks as I want.
here is an example http://www.widman.biz/boletines/157.html
Finally, I’ve done many of my pictures, especially my car restorations, using prettyphoto with a thumbnail linked to a warehoused web sized photo. Most of those pages get sidebars to explain the process. example: http://www.widman.biz/Mini/English/progress/m47.html
@RichardLW thanks so much for your helpful reply. I’m away from home for a few days but have just had a quick look through your website - very professional and I’m impressed that it was created using Stacks. When I get home I need to spend a bit of time trying out your suggestions.
Thanks again, much appreciated, and I love your Before and After photos of the red pick-up!!!
