# How to make an xml sitemap page

Wouldn’t it be wiser to publish to a specific folder on the desktop, specifically created to hold just the web site, rather than to the desktop itself?

Hi Jannis R,  
If I got sitemap.xml file on my server along with other project files, can I just type link [http://www.mysite.com/sitemap.xml](http://www.mysite.com/sitemap.xml) to Add/Test Sitemap Google console?

Thank you, I noticed that earlier on thred and it was very helpful.  
I think I get error after submitting sitemap, because I need to use hreflang for bilanguage site and add robots.txt for same reason - or should these not affect on sitemap submitting results?
