I can’t seem to figure out how to add an image alt tag to the image in image inspector where the image is located in a CMS item. The image is external to the site or “remote”. I want to use {{item.image.alt}} from the .md file. Maybe it’s not possible to do with an external link?

Thanks

Hi @gfortier you can add the alt text to the resource inspector’s alt text field.

Thanks for your reply but I don’t see how you can do that for a remote image. What you are explaining is to select an image in the resource tab for a local image. Unless I’m missing something?? I don’t see where I can select a remote image in the resource tab.

Thanks

In the image component under CMS there is no longer an alt tag as per the videos in the CMS QuickStart guide. There is only a “field” where I put the remote image from the collection “{{item.image.src}”. The remote image displays fine. How do I then add an alt tag for the image. Since the image is not local I cannot add an alt text in the resource inspector as you indicate in your response since it does not reside there, it is sourced through CMS collections (.md file).

Hi @gfortier

This is a slight oversight on our part, we’ll get this fixed in the a future update. Apologies for the confusion!
