# Image cropped ... not sure why

Hi:

I am adding a banner image to a blog … image size is 500x497 … so I think it should be fine

But the image is cropped about an inch top and bottom by RW.

Any idea how to fix this?

Hi Debra,

Hard to say for sure without a link to the page in question or knowing what them is being used.

But in some themes, the menu bar or title bar is layered over a banner, as part of an opacity / transparency effect. If the element layering over the banner is not semi-transparent, it may give the _illusion_ of the banner image getting cropped short, on one side.
