GoDaddy, just got off the phone with them. The index file wasn’t showing up, they deleted the whole folder and I re-published . The site is working now. Thank you all for your assistance. I still can’t figure out why it isn’t telling me the site is published but I can live with that. ---

@sinclairpons I would ask you to please refrain from swearing on these forums. It’s impolite. In the world of web design “Go Daddy” is the scummiest phrase of all. 🙂 No wonder you had problems! Likely caused by them all along. Not necessarily … but it sounds like a go-daddyish sort of situation. I highly recommend switching to a better hosting company when you have the chance. ---
