For some reason - I checked all the other podcast files - no brackets…

Must be that - How did it get added?

@ben seems to be adding brackets on the meta data in CMS V2

The field type in the online CMS is set to array, you need to switch it to resource for that folder/collection.

quick update here to say we’ve fixed the underlying cause of those mystery square brackets 🙂

The Online Editor’s frontmatter serialiser could turn a field into an array under certain conditions (emptying a field and refilling it was the usual trigger), and one corrupted file could then flip the detected field type for the whole folder — which is why a single podcast post had brackets when the rest didn’t.

From the next Elements 3 update, fields always save as plain strings, and re-saving an affected post in the editor cleans up any brackets already there. No more downloading the CMS folder to hunt for them 😃
