Hi @dan
I’m about ready to move over to a Dev Pack and I need to have a js template file where I can inject property variables. What would I name the file and where would I put it ?

A JS file would be stored in the assets folder, you have two choices here. Assets can be included [per component](https://docs.realmacsoftware.com/elements-docs/elements-language/assets) or [shared in a component pack](https://docs.realmacsoftware.com/elements-docs/elements-language/shared-files).

Take a look at the Snowstorm code examples on GitHub to see how this works in practice: [GitHub - realmacsoftware/RWElementDevPacks: A collection of example Element Dev Packs for RapidWeaver Elements on macOS](https://github.com/realmacsoftware/RWElementDevPacks/tree/main)

Hope that helps!

Oh, and you might want to check out the following video’s if you’re just starting to transition from Custom Components to Element Dev Packs:
