Hi everyone,

Since Elements added AI assistants, I have been asking myself a simple question: how can the assistant work on a site without breaking its design? Out of the box, it knows Elements, but it does not know the project you are working on. It does not know why a section is dark, when a button should stand out, or how much space a page needs to breathe. So it adds generic elements that you then have to fix by hand.

[![lander_project_001](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/flex005/uploads/realmacsoftware1/original/3X/b/4/b47823022355b89dafda47913a2d990d3b942bdf.jpeg)](https://www.multithemes.com/elements/projects/lander/)

So I wrote a design guide for **[Lander](https://www.multithemes.com/elements/projects/lander/)**[](https://www.multithemes.com/elements/projects/lander/)and saved it inside the project memory, where the assistant reads it before making changes. It is not just a list of colors and font sizes: it explains the choices behind the design, the things that numbers alone cannot tell. When you ask for something new, the assistant builds it the Lander way, with the same colors, rhythm and attention to detail as the rest of your site.

And the style stays yours to shape. If you prefer a different accent color, rounder buttons or more space between sections, just say so: the assistant records your choice and applies it to everything you build next. The guide adapts to you, and your site keeps its unity.

As far as I know, this is the first time a design guide like this has been included in an Elements project, so please consider it a first attempt. If something does not work as expected, tell me here: the more details you share (your request, the assistant you use, what happened), the faster I can improve it. And if I find more practical ways to deliver it in the future, I will adopt them.

**What’s inside (summary):**

- User decisions: your own choices (e.g. a new palette) are recorded once and always win, also after guide updates
- How to use: precedence over nearby elements, models to clone, short commands like “Lander style”
- Mood and style in plain words
- Section models: exact names in the tree to clone
- Palette, typography, buttons, spacing, images, with light/dark pairs and tested contrast
- Navigation options and page roles
- Naming convention of the tree
- Help for users coming from RapidWeaver Classic ❤
- A short list of related components to suggest, only when useful

**A few simple requests that make the difference:**

- “Add a dark section with a title, a short text and a button, like the one on the Starter page”
- “Lander style” (after selecting an element: the assistant applies the Lander colors, fonts and spacing)
- “check Lander style” (the assistant checks the page and proposes fixes)
- “From now on, use green as the accent color” (your choice is recorded and applied to everything you build next)

**Coming from RapidWeaver Classic?**
Every Multithemes project includes a Starter page, now prepared for the assistant: its sections have clear names that the guide knows. It is the easiest starting point if you are used to working with Classic: pick a section, ask the assistant to clone it or adapt it, and keep building from there.

**Always available, always up to date:**
The guide is also hosted online on a secure Amazon S3 server, so it is always available for download. It will evolve with Elements and with new instructions that improve it. To update it, you do not need to download anything: just ask your assistant “check Lander guide updates”. It compares your version with the online one, shows you what changed and installs it, keeping your own decisions.

**How to get it:**

- New project: update Lander from the Elements Store and start from it. The guide is already inside.
- Site already started with an older copy: open the updated Lander and read the block at the top of the home page. It explains how to add the guide to your existing project in a few minutes.

**Please note:** the AI assistant is not included in Elements or in Lander, you connect your own. Elements offers two ways: the simplest is to connect an external assistant you already use, such as Claude Desktop, through the Elements MCP Server. Alternatively, you can use the built-in Assistant with your own API key, which is billed by usage. Follow the Elements instructions in Elements \> Settings \> AI.

**Bought Lander on the Multithemes Store?** You have already received an email with the download link and all the instructions. There is no difference between the Lander sold on the Multithemes Store and the one on the Elements Store: every update is always sent to all customers 😎

This is still a technology in development, so every suggestion is welcome. If Elements introduces substantial changes, Lander will be updated accordingly. And if you find this approach useful, let the Elements team know too: your feedback can help it grow. 🙏

thanks

This is fantastic, great work @MultiThemes! 🥳
