# Links now open in new tabs (RW8) when they didn't before (RW7)

I have a simple website which I have just moved from RW7 to RW8. I made a few text updates (no new pages or links) and republished. The site uses a modified version of the Split theme.

Some of the internal cross-links are now opening in new tabs, when they didn’t before…

All the internal cross-links have “Open in new window” unchecked. However, the four at the bottom of this page  
[http://www.nealfarwell.com/composer.html](http://www.nealfarwell.com/composer.html)  
now open in new tabs. In Chrome, viewing the source, I see that  
target="\_blank"  
has been added to these four links. But I don’t understand why this should be! The link just above them _doesn’t_ open a new tab.

Advice welcome to restore these links to opening in the same window!
