Load and display an external rich text file on a Stacks page?

I’ve searched and searched but can’t find a way to load an external .rtf file and display it on a Stacks page. Surely it can’t be that difficult?

I don’t need al the rich text features, just bold and italic. Anything else would be a bonus. So I guess I could use a markdown text file as well.

It would be for a menu for a restaurant site so the client can make revisions and upload a rich text file via FTP.

Anyone have a recommendation? Thanks in advance.

Browsers can’t display rtf you will need to convert it to html or use a pdf or jpg image of it.
