# Lumi project: design guide for the Elements AI Assistant

After Lander and Cordial, [Lumi](https://www.multithemes.com/elements/projects/lumi/) is the third Multithemes project with a design guide inside its memory. The guide teaches the Elements AI Assistant the Lumi style, so anything you ask for is built the Lumi way. You can find all the details on how it works in the [Lander](https://forums.realmacsoftware.com/t/lander-now-speaks-your-ai-assistants-language-a-design-guide-inside-the-project/57790) and [Cordial](https://forums.realmacsoftware.com/t/cordial-project-design-guide-for-the-elements-ai-assistant/57801) posts. Here I’d like to focus on what makes Lumi different.

**What the assistant learns about Lumi**

Lumi is light through the night: a deep night blue base, crossed by light. Its style lives in the sum of its parts, and the guide describes each one together with the reason behind it.

- **The top of the page is its signature.** The fixed menu, the reading progress bar and the info bar (social links, hours, phone) form one coordinated block, and they all shrink smoothly as you scroll.
- **No hard edges.** Every header image dissolves into the page with a gradient, and the image sections inside the pages do the same. An image is never a box placed on the page: it is an atmosphere the content emerges from.
- **Depth while scrolling.** The header moves slower and grows while the content rises. These slightly different speeds give that smooth feeling, and the assistant knows not to break it.
- **Light on night blue.** Main titles are gradients of violet and azure, and textures and watermarks give the graphics material instead of flat color.
- **Build by subtraction.** Lumi works with few, well chosen elements, and the assistant helps you keep that balance and uses animations with restraint.

The guide also covers the menu that stays dark on light layouts, the Products page as an example of a different accent, the special dark mode that makes Lumi even deeper, and continuity with Lumi for Classic, plus what’s new in Elements: the animated menu and video headers without extra stacks.

**A few requests to try**

- “Add a section like the cards of the Starter page”
- “Check the design consistency of the whole site and fix only what doesn’t follow the Lumi style”
- “From now on, use green as the accent color”

**How to get it**

- New project: update Lumi from the Elements Store and start from it. The guide is already inside.
- Site already started: open the updated Lumi and follow the block at the top of the home page.
- Updates: just ask your assistant “check Lumi guide updates”.

**As always** , the AI assistant is not included in Elements or in Lumi: you connect your own (Elements \> Settings \> AI). If you bought Lumi on the Multithemes Store, you have already received an email with everything you need.

BTW: I’m giving priority to the projects that come from RapidWeaver Classic themes ❤ . It’s my way of continuing to support those moving from Classic to Elements, because a guide like this makes that step more faster ⚡ .
