RE: “Preferences” on the main RW8 dropdown

1. Can anyone tell me when (which version RW) “Verify file transfers” was added and if it defaults to “checked” (on.)

and/or
2. Does the “Verify” execute with all forms of publishing? (entire site, single page, changed/updated pages)

and/or
3. What does “Verify file transfers” do exactly? (perform a checksum?)

and/or
4. Has anyone noted any issues with when using “Verify file tranfers”??

I appreciate any input/answer to any of my four questions.
