# Menu - can't change background anymore

Hey @dan,

after playing with the menu for a while (following your JS tutorial to change the look on scroll), I am not able to change the background color of the menu anymore.

Strange, seems to work here. Have you tried restarting Elements?

Here’s the project with a light blue background…

I played around with your project and also found that the background solid color could not be changed. I could change the HOVER color and a GRADIENT, but not a solid color.

Then I replaced the existing menu with a fresh one and it worked just fine. I could change the color no problem.

Odd indeed. When I open your version it still shows the dark blue background.
