Thanx will do - your a good dev
Thank you so much, Michael — that truly means a lot to me! I put a great deal of passion and care into every component I build, so kind words like yours are always very motivating.
I’m here for you.
here is demo site - header at top

I think it’s a great product 2 things to consider?
People will use a small line or header not a full page…
Consider an auto play mode that plays when page loads - with a delay setting!!! 250ms so it plays after page loads
I like your products very much!
Best wishes
Mike
Hey @MichaelDroste, thank you so much for sharing your demo file it really helped me understand exactly what you need and how you’re using the component in a real-world context. Your feedback is spot on!
I’m actually already working on an “auto-play” mode, similar to how the Reveal component works in Elements where the animation triggers automatically on page load, with a configurable delay. Just give me a little time to finish a couple of integrations and it will be part of the next update.
And once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kind words they truly mean a great deal to me. It’s feedback like yours that keeps me motivated to keep building and improving!
Best,
Christian
Wow - amazing - thank you for responding and implementing those new features - that’s really nice of you to even consider it
Look at reveal that elements made - you can input the delay time appropriate for you - ie 50ms or 1,000ms
Thanx again for considering changes…
Best always
Mike
Lumière Update: Hybrid Control for Scroll & Smooth Animations
Hi everyone! I’ve just released an important update for the Lumière Title component.
Here recap and news update:
1. Scroll-linked titles (Scrub mode)
You can now tie the title motion directly to the page scroll.
- Scrub mode: the animation follows the scroll position frame by frame. You scroll down, the effect progresses; you scroll back up, it rewinds.
- Perfect for immersive storytelling, product reveals, and sections where you want users to physically “feel” the movement as they navigate.
2. Smooth, timeline-style animation (Smooth mode) (as request of @MichaelDroste)
If you prefer a motion-design style effect, you can switch to Smooth mode.
- The animation starts when the title enters the viewport, then runs on its own timing, with duration and easing fully controllable from the panel.
- Ideal for hero sections, classy intros, and soft transitions that don’t depend on how fast the user scrolls.
3. Advanced Reveal controls
For Smooth mode, I’ve added more granular reveal logic.
- Trigger modes: choose between running the animation only once, every time the title re-enters the viewport, or playing forward on enter and in reverse on exit.
- Precise timing: set duration and delay in milliseconds so you can sync motion perfectly with the rest of the page.
- Dynamic easing: pick from different motion curves (from subtle and soft to more elastic or bouncy) to give the animation a professional feel.
4. Better typography and visual debugging
- Fluid typography: headings now scale intelligently, avoiding text clipping on desktop and overflow issues on mobile, even with two-column layouts.
- Visual debugging: you can enable debug markers from the properties panel to see exactly where effects are triggered while scrolling.
What do you think? If you’re using Elements and looking for a way to make your titles more dynamic and cinematic without overcomplicating your build, Lumière is ready for your next projects!
Best,
Christian
Just purchased it and am excited to see what I can create. Hoping for an auto-play and possible dissolve/revealing through multiple text sections - rather than scroll into place. I want to animate the title page text over a banner/hero image rather than a “background” full page image.
about 5 of 10 get stuck in animation under smooth setting
I used minimal impact - it is live on TrumpetStudio.com
Here is an example of getting stuck:
Hi @MichaelDroste,
I’ve carefully checked all the information, screenshots, and the demo page you shared with me, and I have already made the necessary fixes to address the issues you reported with Smooth mode and on iPhone.
Tomorrow I’ll run the final round of tests and, if everything looks good, I’ll submit the new update for release. Working with animations is really tough sometimes and full of little traps, but I’m genuinely happy that you’re using my component and I hope the bug fixes I’m adding will make it work perfectly for you.
Based on the demo page you showed me in your previous posts, I’ll also create and publish a similar multi-section/multi-page demo that includes all the animations, so I can confirm that everything works flawlessly even in more complex scenarios like yours.
Please feel free to reach out with any request, question, or idea; this invitation extends to anyone else reading this thread or interested in my components. Your feedback is incredibly valuable to keep improving Lumière and make it even more robust and enjoyable to use.
Vuoi che aggiustiamo il tono (più tecnico, più informale o più “marketing”) prima che tu lo pubblichi sul forum?
Very good
you’re doing good work…
Keep it up!
I know it’s hard when things don’t work and I’m sorry to be ‘the guy’ finding problems…
Hi @MichaelDroste ,
thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to stress-test Lumière – I really appreciate it.
I’ve just released the latest update and I’m attaching here the project file you kindly sent me. Based on your file, I created a separate page for each headline to check that there were no hidden issues with any of the animations.
Originally, Lumière was designed mainly for fully scroll‑driven effects, where every part of the animation follows the scroll position. After your suggestion and your real‑world use case, I added this new behavior specifically to better support your setup and similar scenarios.
My goal with Lumière (and all my components) is not just to ship a “finished” product on the Store, but to offer something that can inspire ideas and stay open to user feedback and requests. I see each component as a starting point, and anyone who buys it is welcome to contribute to its evolution with new ideas and integrations.
To give more control over typography, there is also a dedicated customization area for line breaks in the title text, so you can decide exactly where the text should wrap across different devices.
I’ve tested everything on multiple devices and screen sizes (including iPhone), and the animations are now behaving correctly in all the cases I checked. If you still notice anything strange or have new ideas for improvements, please let me know – your feedback is extremely valuable.
Thanks again for your patience and for “finding the problems” – that’s exactly what helps me ship better updates for everyone.
