**Omni is Here: Bringing 3D to Life on Your Website!**

I am beyond thrilled and so happy! After months of hard work and countless sleepless nights perfecting every single detail, **[Omni](https://www.sassano.me/omni/omni/)** is officially live.
Transform any static page into a living, breathing 3D experience. Omni lets you drop a 3D model into your page and choreograph how it’s seen — framing, lighting, mood — as visitors scroll. Design it visually in your browser, then publish it with a single lightweight component.

Key Features

- **Visual 3D Editor, Built Into Your Browser:** Open the live preview and step straight into a full 3D editor — position the camera, set the lights, shape the mood for every point on your page. No timelines, no code.
- **Scroll-Driven Camera:** Pick a few points on your page, frame the perfect shot for each one, and Omni handles the transitions — the object stays fixed while the camera glides smoothly between your shots as visitors scroll.
- **Works With Any 3D Model:** Bring in a .glb or .gltf file from anywhere — download one for free, generate one with AI, or model your own in Blender. Optional Draco support keeps even heavier files light and fast.
- **Seamless Loading Screen (Anti-FOUC):** A dedicated, customizable loading curtain waits for your scene to be fully ready before revealing the page — colors, blur, logo, and caption, all yours to set.
- **Five Modular Components:** Omni Core (the engine), optional Omni Draco (for compressed files), Omni Editor (to design), Omni Live (to publish), and Omni Load (the loading screen). Drag in only what each project actually needs.

**Why Choose Omni?**

- **Design Where You’ll Publish:** Everything is framed and previewed live in your own browser, so what you build is exactly what visitors will see.
- **Lightweight in Production:** Swap the editor for the tiny live player once you’re done — visitors load only what’s needed to see your scene.
- **Zero Code, Real Cinematics:** No scripting, no external tools. Pick a model, frame a few shots, and Omni turns scrolling into a story.

**Included Projects & Video Tutorial Coming Soon**

Inside the component, you’ll find a ready-to-use demo project included (the exact one featured on the website product page), along with three additional complete projects to explore and download. I will also be publishing a video tutorial soon to explain how it works in even more detail… but trust me, it is incredibly simple and amazingly powerful!

What models will it work with?

All of mine are Parasolid (x\_t), IGES, or STEP.

My [Omni](https://store.elementsapp.io/components/omni) component uses the **.glb** format.

The reason is that CAD files like yours (Parasolid .x\_t, IGES, and STEP) rely on complex mathematical curves to describe shapes with extreme precision. Web browsers, in order to display 3D models smoothly and quickly, require lightweight files based on **polygonal meshes** (surfaces made of flat triangles). The .glb format is the absolute standard for the web: it’s highly compressed, packs all materials into a single file, and is optimized for instant loading.

**How you can convert your files to .glb:**

**Direct export** : Many modern CAD programs allow you to “Save As” or “Export” directly to .glb or .gltf.

**Free conversion software** : You can open your STEP or IGES files in free tools like **FreeCAD** or **Blender** (using a CAD importer plugin) and export them directly as .glb.

_If you let us know which CAD software you currently use, we’d be happy to provide step-by-step instructions on how to convert your files!_

This looks awesome, congrats on the launch!

It sure would be nice if you could preview three.js in the editor too… 😜

@Dan, thank you so much! I can’t wait for this library to be implemented by the Realmac team. The strategy we adopted required a huge amount of time and hard work, but I am extremely excited about the result, which perfectly combines power and simplicity.

@PMUK, thank you as well for the report and for your kindness. I really appreciate the support!
