So I purchased this and added it to a page. I added a password section and added a load of content. So if I preview locally it works fine, however when I publish to the web I get the following error.

false, ‘message’ =\> $errorMessageText ]); exit; } } // Re-check authentication (may have been restored from cookie) $isAuthenticated\_rwA34124B0\_12C5\_4DC0\_9CE9\_AB223CC1141C = password\_protect\_is\_authenticated(‘password\_protect\_shenjin’); // Capture the protected content for AJAX response ob\_start(); ?\>

Advice please? I really cant see what i have done wrong.

In addition. I did not get the sample project showing the implementation of the addon? How can I get this?

No problem, this new way of working is very new, the store has only been open for three weeks.

We’ll work to improve this experience, so it’s more obvious 🙂

[Keep an eye on the Docs page](https://docs.realmacsoftware.com/elements-docs/components/password-protect-paid), we’ll be expanding the information there in the next few days.

And @jwDave has already linked you to [the launch video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrB7npyl13E), that’s worth watching to see how it all works.

There’s also a sample project included when you install the component, check the New Projects Window.

Hi Dan, I have added Page Protect to my elements project and it all work in preview. But not when uploaded. Is it anything to do with PHP. If so, how do I fix this.

Hi Ben,

The information about changing the file to php and deleting the old file from the web host’s server was there on the forum but it was really hard to find. Maybe a this is what to do when you purchase the package could be included.

We do have a [page in the Manual for Password Protect](https://docs.realmacsoftware.com/elements-docs/components/password-protect-paid) that we’re working on. It does include this information, we just need to ensure users that buy the component can find it 🤔
