What you are proposing doesn’t really make sense when we can all do it ourselves? and theres something a bit squint about it.
BWD stacks are created in the spirit of a contribution on a donation basis. Seems a little underhand to start using them to line your pocket?
Partial sharing… thats a thought !
Hi Anugyan,
you are right. You can do all by yourself. You can even code an app like RapidWeaver by yourself. And you can code a theme by yourself. And you can use free frameworks to do your stuff… If you can do it, you even don’t need to purchase anything.
There might even exist people being able to create websites just with an text editor. Unbelievable!
Just to be clear here, I am quite happy with @jochenabitz and the other template project sellers using my stacks.
The way I view it is that they are not reselling my free stacks but are selling their designs and ideas.
If you think about it, it is no different from a website developer charging their client for making a site when using my free stacks (and plenty of them do that and never donate) .
I know that many people see these templates are profiteering but really we should appreciate the novice users position who I know have found them an invaluable starting point.
Just my opinion…
I can honestly say, based on a recent experience just last week - I would never have discovered BWD stacks had it not been for @jochenabitz. On his advice I downloaded 7 stacks and made a fair contribution based on the average price I have paid for other stacks from other developers over the past 6 months. (seemed fair to me)
