Non-repeatable voting

(Ben Balser) #1

My TV station has a lineup of new, locally produced shows. We want to let folks vote on them over the next several weeks. Is there a way to set up a way to vote for one of 5 shows, that readers IP numbers so folks can’t vote twice? I told my boss it would cost us too much, but I’m now just curious if there’s an easy RW solution.

I use formsnap…and just enter #ip# in the output templet.

You could just embed a google form (survey) easy to set up, easy to embed, results in many forms including csv. Free

Would google forms disallow one person from filling out the survey multiple times?

It can, can also record email etc. depends on how you set it up.
What theme are you using, if foundation, you could do it pretty easy and capture it address and write to csv with a few lines of php and the custom post option of foundation forms.
