I’m getting an odd space below a text block that I can’t explain. It’s in a column grid and the space is only appearing in the ‘tablet size’ view. When wider, or more narrow, it previews as expected. …. Is there a way to upload an image?

Hey Rich2020! Odd spaces can be sneaky little gremlins, can’t they? 🧐

First, let’s make sure there’s no sneaky margin or padding causing mischief. Check the properties of your text block and its container in the Inspector. Look for any margin or padding settings that might be set specifically for the tablet breakpoint.

If everything looks good there, try adding a custom Tailwind class to override any unexpected spacing. You can use something like `mb-0` to remove any bottom margin.

As for uploading an image, you should be able to drag and drop it into your post here on the forum. That way, we can take a closer look and help you squash that pesky space!

Let me know how it goes, or if you need more help!

Thanks Paul. I can’t see any margin or padding values that might be causing this.

Can you explain how I should add the Tailwind class? (I’m utterly clueless)

I’ll attempt to drag an image in…

Hey Rich2020! No worries, I’m here to help you navigate the wonderful world of Tailwind classes. 😄

To add a Tailwind class like `mb-0` to your text block in Elements, follow these steps:

1. Select your text block in the Elements editor.
2. Open the Inspector panel on the right side.
3. Scroll down to the “Advanced” section.
4. In the “CSS Classes” field, type `mb-0`.

This will remove any bottom margin that might be causing the odd space. Give it a try and let me know if it does the trick!

And if you’re still having trouble, feel free to upload that image by dragging it into your post. We can take a closer look together. 😊

Reduce the size of the container that the text component is in or set to auto for height.

Thanks Dan,

The space in question is on PAGE 2.

If you could also let me know why the SVG on PAGE 1 is not centring, I’d apppreciate it!

Thanks for the project, that’s great…

The space in Page 2 doesn’t seem to be an issue, perhaps you fixed it?

I’ve record a quick video to show you how to center the SVG, we also have a [tutorial on how to align things](https://docs.realmacsoftware.com/elements-docs/videos/how-to/align-components). Give both of these a watch 🙂

Have a good evening!

Hi Dan,

No, it’s not fixed.

The space problem is showing up between the text block and the thumbnail gallery (under the text block). **It’s only present with the tablet view (one step down from desktop).**

Thanks for the video link for SVGs, I’ll check them out!

Sorry, as I showed in my video, I don’t see this issue.

Can you publish the page on the web so we can take a look? or perhaps you could show me the bug in a video like I posted?

btw. This does not appear to be an Elements bug, I believe it’s a layout issue with the way you have things configured, we just need to find out what exactly…

Thanks Dan, I appreciate your ongoing help.

I’m up to date with the latest version of Elements. Video dropped below to show issue.

I’m not currently able to publish the project.
