# Openrouter and other AI providers

Are there any plans to expand the platform to include alternative AI services?

Hi @kaan,

You should be able to use your own AI provider when using the MCP connection. A lot of people are using LMStudio in this way.

Regarding the built-in AI assistant, only OpenAI and Anthropic models are supported at this time.
