# Page Safe-Stopping page being updated on publish

Does this work anymore? It seems to prevent the page being updated on publish, so not only does it not work but other changes to the page are ignored as well?

Hi @jwDave,

Haven’t seen any reports of that stack not working.

The stack requires php to work so it changes the page extension to .php. If the page extension was .html before, you’d have to log into your web hosting account, navigate to their file manager, then navigate to the folder that page is located in, and delete the .html version of the page so that only the .php version is left.

Also worth checking that the Draft box is not checked on that page you’ve got Page Safe on:

Let us know if neither of those are it.

Thank you so much, yes that was the problem! All sorted now.
