# Partial in another partial

Is it okay to have partial inside another partial?

Today, I was doing some update on one of my page and when I open the project all my partials that was inside another partials was replaced with "edit html here " statement so I was like uh oh did it all get deleted.

I edited the first partial and the second partial shows up but again with a “edit html here” so I edited the second partial and closed it then all my contents in the editable boxes started to appear. I closed the first partial editor and all my second partial contents appears again.

That gave me a quite a scare but I am wondering, am I breaking any of RW8.0 rules having partials inside another partial or it was just a one time fluke for me?
