Hi everyone!

My Elements journey is continuing, and I’m still impressed by what I can do. But I’ve run into a problem with CMS search.

Here’s a screenshot of what I was wanting diplayed in the results:

 ![image](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/flex005/uploads/realmacsoftware1/original/3X/c/5/c5e2dc8adce178f64b80556e94a7ad1e186e942b.png)

It’s displaying the ‘Title’ but not the ‘Subtitle’ or ‘Type’.

Is this because it can’t display custom-defined fields, or have I missed something?

Thanks

That should work, perhaps your syntax is wrong… can you share the project so we can take a look?

Happily, if I knew how to do that! @dan

Link is [elementsapp://downloadDocument/NEecFbP8kGbw](elementsapp://downloadDocument/NEecFbP8kGbw)

It’s on the page currently called ‘Client Galleries’

I’ve now added an image which is drawn across from the CMS. The other content shows on the grid layout for the articles collection but not in the search results.

Also, since I’ve added the image, I’m having trouble with the results disappearing behind the content on the page and not being on top - I’ve played with the z-index setting, but to no avail.

Thanks in advance for the help!

I’ve discovered that when I place the CMS search component inside a container, it disappears behind other content (regardless of z-index settings). If I place it inside a Flex then it doesn’t. Not sure why this is. But at least I can get that part working the way I want.
