Password remembrance

ill let you know…by the way…I know its set from when I log in not when I publish hahahaah

not completely stupid hahahaha….well maybe a bit

I bought your password thing as it looked better than the htaccess bit I was using…..not sure when that logged out after a time limit but I do know that when I turned the computer off it did log people out….dont know if theres anything to be learnt from that.

couple of questions tho. what happens if the visitor doesnt tick the box does it stay logged in forever. Also if you visit the password protected page during the auto log out time does it reset say I have it set for 1 day and I visit within that 1 day does it add another 24 hours?

you would only stay logged in during that browser session, so no you’re not logged in forever.

No, it’s based on when you first login. Additional visits do not add additional time.

cheers.

ive got another website im running and I put a password protect page on.

I unchecked the remember the page in the settings…..went to the page and cleared all the cache etc and published the site….went to the password protected page and logged in. Closed safari.

went back 10 mins later and I was still logged into a password protected page.

the site where I have the remember for 1 day did log mw out after 24 hours so that bit works now…I tried it also without ticking th box and once I done all the reset cookies ect and logged in thats it…you are logged in even after a pc restart …tried it with the remeber option totally off and again once logged in your in …after closing safari and also after totally turning off pc…with the htaccess option once you turn off the pc you have to re login on a password page

well at the moment you are….even turned pc off and still logged in a day later.

at a minimum I need the password to reset when the pc is turned off as this is not secure at all.

can I have my money back, every page ive got the password on is still logged in days later even after turning the pc off!!! its not working

Sorry to hear this didn’t work out, I know @ben was keen to get this fixed for you.

I’ve gone ahead and issued you a full refund.
