# PayPal button not working

I’ve just created a PayPal button and copied the html code from PayPal into an HTML stack on my site (RW7) but when I try to test the button (using an account not registered to the same PayPal account) it takes me to an error page on PayPal’s site.

The website is [http://www.natsteele.com](http://www.natsteele.com) and the button is on the front page. Do you have any idea where I’m going wrong?

Hi @NatJS,

You can see what’s going on in the URL that is displayed when the error screen appears:

This error can be caused by “special” characters in the options you list in the PayPal product lister.

I’d first try it without the British Pound sign in the options (so just “37 GBP” instead of “£37.00 GBP”, and all other occurances of that symbol in the options) and see how that goes.
