Plugin API to disable itself

In 7, can we have an api method for a plugin to disable itself so it doesn’t show up in the published output?

Thanks

And possibly another one to force hiding the page in published navigation menu.

How do you mean: simply hiding it from the navigation menu?

Thanks,

I can think of possible usage scenarios for both options:

  • force hiding from navigation menu only (e.g. PlusKit, RapidBot…)
  • completely disable any output (e.g. an offline expansion of RW to annotate or Tweet from within the app when the project is updated).

Not sure if the second one can be already achieved simply returning nil to involved export API methods.

I was just thinking about:

force hiding from navigation menu only (e.g. PlusKit, RapidBot…)

I think the other can be accomplished by returning @"" from contentHtml.

OK, thanks. There’s more pressing items right now, but I can see how this would be useful (and arguably the “utility” type plugin such as PlusKit would perhaps be better listed as site setup options in the longer term.
