# Problem if I try to quit whilst saving

I use the keyboard mostly and I had made a change to my project, hit Cmd-S and immediately hit Cmd-X. I dialog popped up with two buttons with something like Quit or Wait for Save. I hit Wait for Save and then could no longer quit. Quit on the menu was greyed out. Cmd-Q just beeped.  
I have tried to recreate it but can’t at the moment.

Hi @RussOggi255, thanks for reporting this.

There’s a safeguard to prevent a deadlock or file corruption if the user tries to save the document while it’s already being saved. When you quit Elements, a save will be initiated if the document is dirty, which will be the case if it hasn’t yet finished saving. When this happens, a dialog is shown asking the user if they want to wait for the project to finish saving.

Were you able to quit Elements after waiting a while?

I waited probably 2 minutes and had to Force Quit.
