# Prompting Makes a Difference

If you want to use generative AI (Sonnet 3.5; ChatGPT 4o, o1 mini, o1 preview; Gemini, etc.) successfully, strongly consider doing whatever you can to up your prompting skills. Personally, I’m a fan of first being skilled in the use of clear language and critical thinking. Next, I use the available tools to improve my prompts even further.
