Hi,
[https://status.elementshosting.io/status/uptime](https://status.elementshosting.io/status/uptime) is down currently (kind of ironic). Has the status page changed?
I am unable to get a stable connection to upload changes to one of my sites.

Hi @TomM
The server you’re on is healthy and not experiencing any performance degradations.
Generally slow upload speeds are more an issue at your ISP level, not at the server level.
Can you switch over to another network for testing? For example if you are uploading from your home network, can you connect your Mac to your mobile 5G network connection and test from that? Naturally mobile network speeds might be lower than home network speeds, but it’s good to test (unless you are in an area with poor mobile reception.. 😬)

Comast says there is nothing wrong. So after my Elements back up finishes (45 minutes) I will refresh the modem etc.

Comcast will always say nothing is wrong, they weren’t rated the most terrible company in the states for nothin… 🤣

Shouldn’t take that long for a backup to be created in the app, what are the specs of your Mac and do you have a bunch of background apps/processes running at the same time?

I’m also wondering if the backup is rather large, perhaps the projects in 100’s of MB’s or maybe more?

The site file is 105MBs.
The point is yesterday everything uploaded fast, today is slow.
Elements is a bit faster since I refreshed the modem but the backup is still excruciatingly slow.
Nothing has changed that I know of.

Already did it earlier. They claim I am supposed to have 800 Mbps download.
BTW my current Elements backup is about half finished at 35 minutes

Hi @TomM
If you are on WiFi you likely wouldn’t get the full download speeds. To do that you usually have to connect via LAN/ethernet cable. But you are looking for the upload speeds anyway, not the download speeds, and ~40 Mbps is so-so.

Hi,
I turned on betas from 2.4.4 to the current, and not sure why, but publishing was glacially slow compared with 2.4x. 375 files took about 15 minutes to upload to Elements Hosting, which was unheard of before. It also failed many files, but retired automatically.

We’re currently investigating an issue affecting website publishing and file uploads to our **US Silicon Valley 01** hosting server.
Some customers hosted on this server may experience unusually slow publishing or upload speeds, particularly when publishing websites via SFTP.
This issue is limited to publishing and file upload performance. **Websites hosted on US Silicon Valley 01 remain online and are loading normally** , and we have not identified any impact to website availability or browsing performance.
We’ve completed an investigation on our side and have escalated the issue to our upstream infrastructure provider for further investigation.
We’ll continue to monitor the situation and will provide an update once we have more information.

Ok I heard back from @garageshop a couple hours ago and publishing speed has returned to normal on his end as well.
Customers who were previously experiencing unusually slow publishing speeds have confirmed that uploading speed has returned to normal.
We’ll continue to keep an eye on things, but everything is currently operating normally.
