Should be, the process will likely be similar to upgrading to version 6…
-
Make sure you are using RapidWeaver 4.5.1
-
If using Yourhead Stacks, make sure you’re using Version 2.7.1
-
Update all your plugins (Stacks, Themes, Page Types)… (Restart)
-
Open EACH project you want to bring into RW7 with RW 5.4.1 AND SAVE it
-
(Possible step) - Download & Install Demo of RW6 and Stacks 3
-
(Possible Step) - Use RapidWeaver 6 -> Copy Addons from RapidWeaver 5… (Restart RW)
6a. (Possible step) - Update all your plugins (Stacks, Themes, Page Types)… (Restart RW)
6b. CAUTION - NOT all plugins you have installed in RW5 are available for RW6 so be sure to check the developers website to make sure there is a RapidWeaver 6 version available and download if the import from RW5 causes any issues with a particular Plugin. Same goes for Stacks. Some stacks only work in Stacks 2.x and Stacks 3 is required for RW6+ (Thanks @Zeebe).
-
(Possible step) - Open each project file you want to convert and save each using RW6 to change the file format
-
Follow guide for RW7 Update…
This is conjecture at the moment as the official release notes and software has not been released yet. BUT, for sure, update your RapidWeaver 5 to 5.4.1 and Stacks to 2.7.1 and run your projects through them, updating any stacks and plugins you have installed… this will almost inevitably save time for upgrading to RW7
