Hi Elements Hosters. 👋

Just a quick piggyback on @dan’s announcement about the new **[RapidWeaver Classic 10 Beta 1](https://forums.realmacsoftware.com/t/rapidweaver-classic-10-beta-1-now-available/57757)** release, as there’s one particular enhancement we’re very excited about for those of you hosting your RapidWeaver Classic-built websites with us.

### Authenticated SMTP for Contact Forms

The built-in RapidWeaver Classic Contact Form now supports sending email through an authenticated SMTP server, making it fully compatible with Elements Hosting! 🥳

> **Authenticated SMTP:** Contact Forms can now send through an authenticated SMTP server, including Elements Hosting. Existing sites continue using PHP `mail()` unless SMTP is enabled.

Previously, the built-in Contact Form relied on the older PHP `mail()` method to send form submissions. We don’t support this method on Elements Hosting due to its potential for abuse and spam, so until now we’ve recommended using a third-party contact form service such as [Letterbird](https://letterbird.co/) instead.

**That changes with RapidWeaver Classic 10. 🎉**

With the new authenticated SMTP support, you can now configure the built-in Contact Form to send messages securely through your email provider’s SMTP server.

This means the built-in RapidWeaver Classic Contact Form is now fully compatible with Elements Hosting, no third-party contact form service required!

A big thanks to @tpbradley for getting this added to RapidWeaver Classic. 💜

If you need any help configuring your Contact Form to use SMTP with Elements Hosting, just reach out and let us know. We’ll be happy to help you get everything set up and working. 📫
