# Recreating project files from live, published website

If you are going for a full site backup, there are easier ways to get that locally on your Mac. We have a pretty good backup guide [here](https://forums.realmacsoftware.com/t/backups-the-definitive-guide-to-backing-up-your-rapidweaver-built-website-part-1/42982) you can look through.
