Not necessarily. My suggestion would be to virtualize your existing system with just the application(s) that need Rosetta. Parallels is the most common way of doing this. On my current machine, for instance, I have a virtualization of Monterey with just the app that didn’t make it past Monterey.

I’d also recommend [GitHub - insidegui/VirtualBuddy: Virtualize macOS 12 and later on Apple Silicon, VirtualBuddy is a virtual machine GUI for macOS M1, M2, M3, M4 · GitHub](https://github.com/insidegui/VirtualBuddy) if you don’t feel like paying for Parallels.

I’ve been using VirtualBuddy for a long time and it works great.

Not quite, it’s just those ancient plugins that are holding your project file back.

But yes, Elements would be the better alternative for future-proofing your site.

Again, thank you for all your e-mails and help in the matter. I have Parallels, with a little over 200 GB of memory for it, but was unaware that it could be used to “virtualize my existing (Mac) system”. Not that you are responsible to teach me ‘how to’ use Parallels, but is there a way to ‘preserve’ the Rapidweaver software and its files within Parallels? Am I even stating that correctly?

Not to criticize - gently trying to persuade…

perhaps you might be better off updating your site?

elements will take you far into the future

Elements is faster

elements is programmable for your needs

BUT

• You don’t need the speed

• you don’t want something new

• you’d rather stick with what you know

I understand - just consider my request - many here are very very helpful… I’ve done 2 sites for free to help others…

you wouldn’t have to worry about operating systems or old outdated software - or speed issues of older versions….

I’m 61 - and my first incliation is to fix what I have first - before replacing - 21 year old car etc…

But my 1976 house air conditioner died and couldn’t be repaired - no more parts could be cobbled together to make it work - so this summer had get a new 4 ton unit. Very happy ½ the electric bill and very efficient…

My point in the story - might be the same for you with the new software! You’d be very happy into the future with a state of the art system moving forward…

Just a thought….
