Hi,
I just added some new content to my RW site. I did not add anything other than I always do… but suddenly RW starts behaving strange by auto saving files in a weird way… and it keeps on crashing,.
Please refer to attached screenshot.

Do I need to adjust some settings?

It looks like the Finder has gotten confused… Have you tried restarting your Mac?

I tried that….. It still keeps on saving new folders by itself…..
Strange and inconvenient.

Can you try switching off auto save to see if that helps resolve the issue.

Where exactly are you saving your projects? Is it on a cloud service, like iCloud or Dropbox?

I’ve not seen this issue before; it sounds very strange.

I’d recommend quitting RapidWeaver and moving your active projects to a new folder to work from there. You can then delete the folder containing all the random files.

You might also want to try running First Aid on your disk using the Disk Utility app.

Hopefully, this will resolve the issue for you.

I tried it all but it still does the same…
Whenever I upload changes to the project it will create a new folder…….
This drives me crazy

When I save the project into a folder, the same thing happens plus I get these strange folders and files
Funny enough, this only happens with this project and this folder, not with any other….?

Have you tried opening it RapidWeaver and then doing a “Save As…” and saving it off as a new file?

After rebuilding all files, it works….. what a waste of time…
Anyhow, RW still keeps on crashing every time I modify content.

This sounds like a Stacks bug. Are you using the latest version of Stacks?

If you can share your project, I can take a quick look at it to see if I can figure out exactly what’s going on.

I’d also suggest dropping an email to [support@yourhead.com](mailto:support@yourhead.com), as they may be aware of the issue.

I think I use the latest version of Stacks. Where can I find out about that?
Where would you ike me the project file to? Do you need the full project or only the front page?
I wait and see what you say before contacting your head
Thanks a lot

Sorry, I think I was wrong in my earlier mail….. after updating Stacks again, I still get this message:

 ![](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/flex005/uploads/realmacsoftware1/original/3X/4/7/47c79b1c6fff95f8deb78c12622227577da24147.png)

Btw, my smallest project file would be 73.8 MB. Shall I scale that down to the front page and send it by Email?
Cheers

Hi Dan,

It is going from bad to worse……
After receiving the message that I need to up-grade Stack, I did so to Stacks 5, paid the fee and got and Email with the details.
However, after installing it, I now still can’t use Stack at all. Instead, I get these messages…….
What can I do about this mess? The developer does not seem to be very happy about RW, judging from his message which popped up and which I attach herewith as pdf it sounds like is no more Stacks?.

Hope you can help me sort out this to work or at least get the 29.95 USD back for a not working Stacks….

Thank you
Cheers
Hucky
