# RW8 Project files showing as folder instead of a file

Hi back in May I had this problem and solved it by uninstalling “Perian.prefPane”.  
Now having upgraded to RW8 the problem returned. First port of call was to rebuild Launch Services to no avail. I noticed that previous project files by older versions of RW were showing okay. I solved the problem yet again by get info on an older version project file and telling it to open with RW8. Press the button to change All.  
This has worked for me and my RW8 project files are as they should be.
