# Security pin / password components missing?

I’m using Elements 1.2.1, (23823) \*Oops, just now updated to: 1.2.1 (23825). Trying to add a password or pin security to a section of a page,

First, I couldn’t even see “Security” as one of the component groups. Then I did a “display catalog” in the left sidebar, middle icon, found security and clicked on it. “No items found. Try adjusting your filter”

Where to I go to correct this? I’ve checked the searchbar at the bottom of the sidebar, it’s clear.

Also, since I did this, I can no longer display all of the normal components in the left sidebar, all I see is “Security in the top window, followed by the above error message.

I’m sure there’s a simple way to “undo” what I did to hide the components display (I an find it under “View/Show Catalog”, but it’s more convenient when editing to bring it up in the pane in the left sidebar.

Also, how do I find and use the security components??Opened “Show Catalog,” clicked Security — now sidebar is stuck showing only Security with “No items found, try adjusting your filter.”

ADDITIONAL:

- Search bar is clear, tried collapsing categories, Components icon now does not show regular components—only the empty Security state.

- Only way to add components now is via “Show Catalog” window, which is inconvenient.

- Updated to 1.2.2 (23825); missing security components persists after restart.

- Restart DID clear the project window components pane.

At this point in time, there aren’t any security components.

There appears to be a bug ( @dan ), whereby when you set a filter on the components, you can’t then change it back. I just tried this now, and got the same result. After changing to filter to security, I was then unable to change it further.

Well, the fact that there aren’t any security components could really explain why I couldn’t find them!

Getting stuck with Security as the main filter really stumped me for a while, but at some point I found that all I needed to do was click on that filter at the top of the pane, and it displayed the following:

At that point I just clicked on “Components” and the pane returned to normal.

I did this after a reboot, and after upgrading to 1.2.2 (23835), so that might have cleared something up as well…
