Hi all, I was using Sendy on Chillidog Hosting for years. Are there any pitfalls for hosting a Sendy app on the Elements server? Thanks. Blessings, –Mark ---

Hi @garageshop We use Sendy as well on our hosting server, so it’s possible to host it. Just make sure you stagger your sending so emails don’t all go out at once, which would likely cause you to exceed some account limits. Excellent! Thanks for letting me know. Didn’t even know there was a limit, not likely to hit it. This is for direct emails to our local retired clergy, not huge mass mailings. Hi, Thanks for the offer, I really appreciate it. I am way out of my element with server instructions. Sendy will not install (file not found), and checking compatibility, I get **mod\_rewrite is not enabled** Is this something I can turn on in the Hosting developers portal, or do I need to modify the .htaccess file as in: ``` ````auto AllowOverride All Require all granted ``` Thanks for the help! Hi @garageshop I don’t see where you are trying to install this. However you will need to upload the `.htaccess` file that Sendy provides you in order to enable rewrites. `mod_rewrite` is enabled across our server fleet, you just need to flip it on in the `.htaccess` file. ---

Well, uploaded the file to the root and public\_html but still shows that it is not on. Not sure what I am missing. I need to scour the docs. Thanks. Blessings, –Mark ---

Hey @garageshop Ignore that warning that `mod_rewrite` is not enabled, Sendy’s compatibility check is not going to pick that up on our server due to the way we handle PHP, however rest assured `mod_rewrite` is enabled and loaded. 🙂 ---
