Another option is that you can download your entire site to a local disk and use any number of OSX utilities to do these these things. Use your local machine to Identify the large files no longer needed then just use FTP to delete them on the server. I do a weekly backup of my entire server. Having are your files locally let’s you do a lot of misc stuff like this.
That’s an excellent idea. I will make a calander repeat to do that.
Backing up your server to a local machine/disk ensures that you do indeed have backups of your site (I don’t trust provider backups) and it also gives me backups of EVERY file on my server, such as, htaccess, keys, etc. Make sure you can see “invisible” files when doing this.
