the site i was building was working fine and suddenly now when i try the preview option it’s not working with the following types of error code: **Notice** : fread(): Read of 8192 bytes failed with errno=21 Is a directory in \*\*/private/var/folders/sd/rxfnt7jd1y7fp0s7cb5\_9r440000gn/T/AppTranslo Notice\*\*: fread(): Read of 8192 bytes failed with errno=21 Is a directory in \*\*/private/var/folders/sd/rxfnt7jd1y7fp0s7cb5\_9r440000gn/T/AppTranslo and trying to preview the home page just gives me ”safari can’t open the page” I hope I haven’t lost everything I’d done, i’d basically finished :-(\*\* ---

Can you try restarting your Mac, that should fix the issue for you. Let me know how you get on. _P.S. Don’t worry, you won’t have lost anything in your project._ ---

This isn’t usually a problem, but it seems because you don’t have a web address set in the project settings it’s not rendering correctly in Preview 😬 Add a web address and preview will start working again. ![CleanShot 2026-03-24 at 12 .40.33@2x](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/flex005/uploads/realmacsoftware1/original/3X/a/3/a36bf10b5ae392f47f41ff76d5e9829c3a7f582c.jpeg) Let me know if that fixes the issue for you, (it did here), and we’ll get this properly fixed in a future build of Elements! _P.S. I’d also recommend resizing/optimising your images before adding them to the project, this will keep your project smaller, and make your website (and preview) load much faster!_ _I noticed some of your images were over 7MB! Large images should still be well under 1MB (ideally)._ ---
