Split Theme - slideshow on the background?

(Wolf) #1

Hey guys,

is it possible to make a slideshow on the background?

(Michael Frankland) #2

Hey @mufflern - yes sure it’s possible :smile:

The theme as it is though, doesn’t have that capability but using some CSS you could animate the images. That would make an interesting update.

Thanks for the idea and let me know if you find a way ti implement this

Hey! I am a really beginner…Can u tell me how it will work?

Greetings from Austria!

Oh it’s quite tricky… :blush:

You will have to edit the theme files. I don’t have time to write a tutorial yet but something like this would help:

ok, thx…but without a clear “how to do” I will not be able to solve this problem…like I said before…I am a really beginner…greetings

@mufflern @yuzool

I think, I have a solution.

First, create a GIF with your pictures in a GIF builder.
Put this GIF in the resources.

Then copy this code in the site inspector CSS or global for all pages.

.content { background-image: url(%resource(123456.gif)%); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: center; -o-background-size: 100% 100%, auto; -moz-background-size: 100% 100%, auto; -webkit-background-size: 100% 100%, auto; background-size: 100% 100%, auto; }

Or simply this code.

.content { background-image: url(%resource(123456.gif)%); background-size: 100% 100%, auto; }

Look at my test site!

… and here.
