Anything after version 2.0 is supposed to according to the docs, but I’ve been having real problems with duplicated blog entries and I wondered if LiteBox was at fault (not at fault, but you know what I mean). Thought it Armadillo included auto lightbox then that would be the cleanest way to do it. But my images aren’t lightboxing. Back to the drawing board.
Rob: You definitely have a bizarre situation if you see duplicate blog entries.
When you remove the Litebox stack do you still see duplicate entries? (I’ve never had a similar problem.) I think images only get auto-lightboxed if you use the image/gallery feature in Armadillo. But I could be completely wrong. I always use direct links to images as it is, frankly, easier and faster for me. Jonathan @nimblehost can hopefully help you our or answer your question.
Any links to the funky blog in question?
I’ve had to clean it up so the duplication problem isn’t there any more - the site is http://www.riverrunning.co.uk.
How do you access the ‘image/gallery’ feature in Armadillo, Matthew?
Rob
Rob: My bad. There is no gallery feature yet. Jonathan has said he is working on such a feature, but I have no idea when it will arrive. As for images you can upload by going to Dashboard. Select the Media tab. There you can upload images (not SVGs, only JPG and PNGs, perhaps GIFs). As far as I can tell you can easily get each image’s URL by pressing the eye-action button. Then you can use that URL as you want like any other warehoused image.
There may be smarter and better ways to use this image feature. I don’t know as I always manually upload via Transmit and then get the URL to use. But for some folks I have to imagine the Armadillo approach saves them from having to learn how to use an FTP app.
For a Gallery feature for Armadillo, check out Gallery Stack (Rob, which you already have in your arsenal):
Rob: Well, if you already have instacks’ Gallery stack then that’s a very nice solution!
I do have Jannis’ stack and it’s superb. However, all I need for the blog is the lightbox feature which is supposed to be built into Armadillo. I’d like to use that but wonder why it’s not currently working for me, @nimblehost.
Any link to an image should be displayed via Armadillo’s built-in lightbox automatically. This does mean, however, that you have to manually create a link (text or image) to an image file in Armadillo in order for the lightbox to work. In other words, the lightbox won’t be triggered just by inserting an image into the content.
If you have indeed created a link to an image, and the lightbox isn’t working, please let me know and I’ll be happy to troubleshoot.
Thanks @nimblehost.
The blog is at http://www.riverrunning.co.uk
Here’s how I’m adding images:
I upload them via FTP to the server and then add a link like this:
<img src="http://www.riverrunning.co.uk/pictures/Adur_pool_2005.jpg" alt="Adur Pool">
Thanks for your help.

How am I best creating a link to an image in Armadillo? I would have thought I could use the “internal links” feature when editing a blog post to grab the URL of some uploaded media, but it doesn’t seem as though uploaded media appears in the “internal URL” list, (just blogs and blog posts get listed in the internal links).
I could create a manual link as described above of course, but was wondering if I was missing a built-in “smart” method of linking to an image.
