# Titles in Select Control

In the Select Control - noticed that titles are not showing up in the dropdown list. It’s showing the values.

Hmm, you might want to check your code (I’m going to guess it’s a coding error), or at least post a snippet here so we can see what you’re doing.

Here’s a [link to the Select Control docs](https://docs.realmacsoftware.com/elements-docs/elements-language/properties.json/ui-controls/select) with a working example. I’ve tested it out and it works just fine, see screenshot.

Yup, after removing and re-adding the component after a restart of elements, then the titles starting showing - I’ve got to remember to do that to check everything.

I had a setting in properties elsewhere that I think was causing problems. Would be nice, if there was an error in properties, that an error would be shown w/ a line number.
