# fleXon 2 (Build 9)

Dear Elements Weavers,

This is already the second update this month: Build 9 of fleXon 2 is here, and this time it’s all about the CMS. I have completely reworked the CMS Summary segment – 21 brand-new CMS Summary sections are waiting for you.

If you run a blog, a news section or a portfolio with the Elements CMS, this update is for you. Instead of 8, you now have 21 ready-made ways to show your latest posts. You’ll find everything from simple layouts to quite complex magazine-style templates – so your website can break out of the usual 1, 2 or 3 column layouts.

**What’s new in this build:**

- 21 new CMS Summary sections – they replace the 8 previous ones
- Two new grids in Basic Items: Grid -5 and Grid -6

CMS Summaries you have already placed on your pages are not affected. Templates are copies, so nothing changes there.

**269 sections – only 31 more until 300.**

Happy weaving!

How much Elements CMS does one need to know to use this?

Not a lot. Flexon helped me to understand CMS. If you take a little time, you will understand. And in case of emergency, Markus will help you.

Hi Per @plm, as Hans said not much at all. If you can set up a basic blog with the Elements CMS (a folder with your posts as Markdown files), you’re good to go.

The sections only use the standard fields: title, image, date, excerpt, author and the post URL. There are no special custom fields you need to add.

After dropping a CMS Summary section onto your page, simply select the CMS Collection inside it and point it to your own posts folder.

With the next update (probably this week) I will deliver with fleXon a 3rd example file where I then show the use of CMS Summary sections and there will be additionally a Blog on WeaverPixel explaining it in written form.

Hope that helps and happy weaving!
