I’m using Elements 1.5.3 and redesigning one of my websites which has a YouTube video. I added the video container, saved the YouTube link into resources then dragged the resource over to the container’s inspector window. However when I go to view it in the selected browser I get the YouTube error 153, video player configuration error. I even tried clearing all cookies in the Safari browser, made some other adjustments but of no help. I tried using a different browser (Chrome) but still the same error. I then tried adding an HTML box and copied the HTML snippet from the same video on Youtube and that method worked, but the viewer window of the video is small and stuck to the right. I’d like it to be automatically scaled to the width of the screen like the Video Container offers. What am I missing here? Is it a deterrent from YouTube or am I missing a step?

I have the same problem. I tried many things. No progress. Did you sort it out? If so, how?

Thanks.

Can you share your project via Elements Cloud so we can take a look?

I gave up on using the video container. On a different project I created a work around that seems stable. I have a grid of news stories. in the item box I placed a container and in the container a custom HTML box. In YouTube I copy the “embed” code and then size it to what works for me. The only issue I have is there are several custom HTML sources that can’t be renamed, so selecting the right one is a guessing game.

I am not familiar with Elements Cloud or its security. I’d hate to upload the project only to find out I gave away my publication information and security of the site.

You can rename the html custom components, [check the manual](https://docs.realmacsoftware.com/elements-docs/developers/custom-components#start-with-an-html-snippet).

YouTube error 153 seems to be attributed to the Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) policy of the web site. Try adding `<meta name="referrer" content="strict-origin-when-cross-origin">` to the `<head>` section of the page template and see if that fixes the error for you.

@dan Maybe the Video component can add this automatically to the page, when YouTube videos are used?
